Web Gone Wrong

This was a small project built using basic design princples: that it should be clean, simple, easy to read, and easy to use.

As such, I used an unobtrusive colour scheme. I designed the logo multiple times, but the simplest design was ultimately chosen as the most appropriate. I designed the site to be bold but simple, using a lot of negative space and large images. When developing the website, I built it to be:

  • Based on the WordPress CMS so that the client could easily add new content.
  • Cross-browser and backwards compatible from IE8 onwards.
  • Mobile friendly, utilising its simple layout in conjunction with CSS3 media queries. I also used media queries to adapt the width on larger screens as well to make good use of the available space.
